The wandering spirit of faith
This cat here is not my cat. This cat is actually on my porch, walked from somewhere else to come say hi. Most of the time when we think of a cat coming out of no where, they offer something to us. Wether that may be a claw, or a handful of affection, it is a gift. Jake here, has given me sense of faith. My family has had three cats that have slowly died throughout the years, but this cat here, has been around for quite some time. He doesn't get that much attention when it comes to love from his owners, at least from what I've heard, so I'm simply honored to have him come to see me. It's always a cheerful delight to hear him meow. In fact, at the time of taking these shots, he caught a mouse right before I got my camera. I saw him outside walking up here and when I came to the door, he had a chipmunk in his mouth. We only have one cat left and she's not really that affectionate. However, Jake here is very affectionate. It's brought my spirits up for these past few days in all honesty. When I tried to take a picture of him, I did all that I could in order to show him in his natural state of being. Relaxing, chilling, and happy to see me. Of course, it doesn't look like that, due to his natural frown, but it's something that can be taken away with the implication.
The man of a thousand tools, la prise de tous les métiers
This here is my grandfather. A man that I've looked up to for my entire life. The only comment I want to make in the matter of my father is that I couldn't see him for a large chunk of my life. I never really talked to him that much, learned about who he is, but from what I've learned and what I've experienced, he's the reason I'm here today. My grandfather has taken care of me and my mother and hopefully I will push forward into making him proud and living on my own. La prise de tous les métiers means, jack of all trades in french, a fitting title. The title at hand was given to this shot because of the noise, the representation of how he is as a house owner. He takes care of a lot of things around the house, but it's not like he's the only one who does. He just knows how to handle a lot around the house that the family doesn't exactly know about.
